Sunday School (Adult & Children)

Need a place to grow your faith? Try 9:45 each Sunday, as our adults gather in the chapel. Sunday School features short-term studies with rotating leadership. Open discussion seeks for the wisdom of the community as members grow in discipleship ad understanding.

Spiritual Formation Groups

Small groups gather weekly for short term studies (6-10 weeks). Past classes have included Disciple Bible Study, Companion in Christ (spiritual formation, prayer), and book studies. For information on joining the current studies, contact the church office.

Youth

On Sunday nights, youth (6th-12th Graders) gather for fellowship, Bible study, hot-topic discussions, games, food and fun. Youth are led through experiential learning exercizes and group activities. Each year, a large group of youth make a pilgrimage to the Appalachian mountains called Wilderness Trail. For more informaiton, contact AmyBith Gardner Halee at

Choir

The Green Street choir meets twice a month for rehearsal on Wednesday nights at 6:45 pm. Singing gospel, spirituals, traditional hymns, the choir is a place of great fellowship for those with musical gifts, or those who just love to sing. If you are interested in singing, contact Kevin Mundy at

Vacation Bible School

Each summer, an all-church effort at Christian education for our children takes place at Vacation Bible School. Classes for each age level, pre-school, elementary, youth and adults, seek to teach the stories of Scripture to any and all who come. The past year, we partnered with two other United Methodist churches, both historically African American (Saints Home, St. Andrews) and held VBS at the Children’s Home of Winston-Salem.
